Founder & Lead Teacher
Apracticethatbeganwithabackinjuryandbecamealife’swork.
Robby first came to yoga in his early twenties after a chronic back injury that no amount of conventional rehab could resolve. The first class did not fix it. The first year did. By his second year of daily practice, he was free of pain — and convinced that what had healed him deserved to be passed on properly.
He completed his 200-hour teacher training in 2011 and his 500-hour advanced training in 2014. He spent years studying in India, Bali, and across North America with senior teachers in the Patanjali tradition, and worked closely with leading Pilates and movement practitioners in New York.
Today, Robby teaches from his Brooklyn studio, in homes across Manhattan, in partner gyms throughout the city, and online with students from London, Madrid, Tokyo, and São Paulo. He has worked with over 600+ private clients, including executives, performers, expectant mothers, and adults in their 70s and 80s.
His students come for many reasons — posture, strength, stress, sleep, recovery from injury, preparation for pregnancy, support after surgery. They stay because the teaching meets them exactly where they are.

Patient, never performative
Yoga is not a performance. Sessions are calm, deliberate, and built around your breath — not a clock or a soundtrack.
Precision over intensity
Real change comes from accurate alignment and patient repetition. The strongest students I have ever trained move the slowest.
Tradition with modern science
I teach within the lineage of Patanjali yoga and pair it with current biomechanics, breathwork research, and Pilates principles.
Quiet outcomes
Better posture you forget to notice. Sleep that comes faster. A nervous system that recovers. That is the real practice.

“I work 70-hour weeks and I sleep better than I have in a decade. The breathwork alone was worth every dollar. Robby is the calm in my week.”

“We hired Robby for a 12-week corporate program. Engagement was the highest of any wellness initiative we have run. People still talk about the breath sessions.”
